Beloya.
A real gem from the birthplace of coffee, an origin that is a personal favourite of ours; this juicy Ethiopian espresso is guaranteed to be a firm favourite as our new house espresso.
Grown at high altitudes in iron rich soils this coffee was produced by small-holding farmers who delivered their cherries to the Beloya washing station north of Chelelektu. Red cherries are picked and freshly sorted before pulping. When the fresh red cherries are supplied to the washing stations, they are pulped and allowed to ferment for 36-48 hours. The fermented coffee is then washed and soaked in clean water and then dried for 18 days to retain about 11.5% of moisture.
This well balanced espresso has fruity, sweet notes with flavours of peach, fudge and black fruits. Following a refreshingly bright acidity this cup will leave a sweetness on the palate long after the last sip. A delicious coffee whether served black or paired with your choice of milk.
